Who we are

Haque Accounting provides bookkeeping, tax, payroll and accounting services to small businesses, based in London. In this notice, “we” and “us” mean Haque Accounting. We are the controller of the personal information we collect through this website.

What this notice covers

This notice covers visits to haqueaccounting.com and enquiries you send us through the website or by email. If you become a client, our engagement letter explains how we handle the information you give us for that work.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry, through the contact form or by email, we collect:

• your name and business name
• your email address, and your phone number if you give it
• the service you are interested in
• anything you write in your message

Please do not send bank details, tax reference numbers or other sensitive information through the form. We will ask for what we need, securely, if you become a client.

When you visit the website, our hosting provider processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, so that it can deliver the site and protect it from attacks.

Cookies: this website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.

How we use your information

We use the details in your enquiry to reply to you, arrange your free call and, if you ask, give you a quote. Our lawful basis is that you have asked us to take these steps before we may agree to work together, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services.

We do not add you to a mailing list, use your details for marketing without your agreement, or sell your information to anyone.

Who we share it with

Your information is seen by the Haque Accounting team: our AAT-qualified bookkeeper and our Chartered Accountant. We also use a small number of service providers, who handle it only on our instructions:

• Formspree, which delivers messages sent through the contact form to our inbox
• Google, which provides our email (Google Workspace) and the fonts this website uses (Google Fonts). Loading the fonts means your browser sends your IP address to Google.
• Cloudflare, which hosts this website and protects it from attacks

We may also share information where the law requires us to, for example with HMRC or other regulators.

Transfers outside the UK

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep it

If your enquiry does not lead to us working together, we keep it for up to 12 months after we last heard from you, and then delete it. If you become a client, we keep your information for as long as our engagement letter and the law require.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
• ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
• ask us to delete your information
• ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to how we use it
• ask us to transfer it to you or to another organisation

To use any of these rights, email info@haqueaccounting.com. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
